No! Most online marketing tools charge you for clicks, impressions, views, or engagement. With Kickbooster, you only pay out a commission when a referral (a click on a referral link) leads to a successful sale or pledge, making it one of the most cost-effective ways to market your product!

No, you only have to pay out commissions if your crowdfunding campaign is successful. If you don’t reach your campaign funding goal, you will only be charged Kickbooster’s monthly fee for the number of months that your referral program was active. This excludes campaigns using Indiegogo’s flex funding, where the campaign is not required to hit a funding goal to withdraw the funds raised, therefore all flex funding campaigns will be invoiced accordingly.

You are required to pay out all verified commissions on the eCommerce plan.

There is no upfront cost to sign up or install Kickbooster. You can take as much time as you need to get your program set up. Once you’re ready, you will need to activate your monthly subscription or begin the free trial period (eCommerce only).

No, Kickbooster will only charge an admin fee from the total amount raised through your referral program and not your entire campaign. Kickbooster charges a 3% fee on the funds raised through your own affiliates, and 5% on the funds raised through our affiliates via Marketplace. 

No, Kickbooster’s administrative fee is completely separate from your campaign platform’s fees. 

No, we run a sync with your campaign platform at the end of your campaign to validate all pledges that came through your referral program. When we invoice your affiliate fees, it is only for any successfully paid referred pledges. 

Kickbooster charges $29/month per referral program campaign. You can launch multiple referral programs at an additional $29/month per referral program.

We invoice and charge you commissions on any referrals that have passed your Referral Review Period. Kickbooster automatically tracks for cancelled and refunded orders; however, the review period allows you to review referrals before commissions are generated to account for any product returns. 

Your initial month subscription will be charged upon activation, and every month thereafter while your subscription is active. Your affiliate fees will be invoiced 2 business days after your campaign end date and will be automatically charged 21 days after to allow time for you to receive funds from Kickstarter or Indiegogo.

If you have at least one affiliate signed up to your referral program, you are unable to cancel your subscription until your campaign end date and once all pending invoices have been paid. This is to protect the affiliates and their marketing efforts when they agreed to promote your campaign. Otherwise, you are able to cancel your referral program at any time if you have no affiliates signed up.

Yes, you absolutely can! We allow you to transition your existing referral program to InDemand to continue the momentum and allow your existing affiliates to continue earning commissions. All existing referral links will be redirected to your InDemand campaign so affiliates can continue sharing their same link.

No! We will never take a cut of your campaign funds. Kickbooster's pricing is performance-based, meaning our fee is calculated based on the funds we directly help you raise.

Kickbooster charges a per-backer fee plus a percentage of the additional funds raised in Kickbooster by selling add-ons and upgrades through your survey. We will never touch the funds you raised through your live campaign, and we will never include the funds raised for shipping in our fee calculation.

No! Kickbooster's add-on fee is based on the price of the actual add-on item, NOT on the cost to ship it to your backers. We will never take a cut of funds raised for shipping.

There is no upfront setup fee for Kickbooster’s Pledge Manager. We are happy to help you get your survey set up at no added cost to you. Once your survey is set up, you will need to pay the per-backer fee to activate and start sending surveys to your backers.

The add-on fee will be calculated after your backers have completed their surveys, and after you have collected payment from your backers.

This fee is charged as a percentage of the additional funds raised in the survey through add-ons and upgrades, EXCLUDING any funds raised for shipping. Kickbooster only charges a fee on the fund raised through the pledge manager NOT on the funds raised through your crowdfunding campaign, and NOT on the funds collected to ship rewards to your backers.

It is up to you as the project creator to decide when you want to charge your backers. In your Pledge Manager survey settings, you can choose to enable or disable the delayed payment capture feature.

If delayed payment capture is disabled, a backer will be charged upon completing checkout.

If delayed payment capture is enabled, the backer will only be charged when you choose to capture payment.

In either case, a backer will only have a balance owing if their survey order exceeds the amount they pledged during your campaign

There are 2 separate fees charged to project creators that come due at different times: 

Per-backer fee: This fee is due when you choose to activate your pledge manager. Activation is NOT required to set everything up, it simply unlocks sending surveys.

Add-on fee: The payment schedule for this fee differs depending on which payment gateway you choose in your pledge manager survey settings. Depending on payment gateway, the fee will either be charged upon survey payment capture, or at the end of the closest month following survey payment capture.

No! There is no obligation to use Kickbooster's Pledge Manager, even after you've signed up.

Take your time setting your survey up, play around with our tools, and don't pick a plan or pay until you're ready to start sending surveys to your backers.

Our pricing plans are designed to be flexible depending on your goals and performance during your live campaign.

If you've built up a big community and have a lot of backers, we recommend considering our Community plan which charges a lower per-backer fee.

If you expect to sell a lot in add-ons and upgrades through your backer survey, we recommend considering our Elevate plan which charges a lower commission on add-ons and upgrades. As always, this fee excludes any funds raised for shipping.
