Meet the creator
I have experience in both technology and business roles. Before starting Cinera, I worked in the digital cinema industry for almost ten years.
I get my inspiration from many places: books, peer sharing, and of course movies.
Why did you choose to crowdfund your project?
We would like to leverage crowdfunding as an opportunity to gather feedback from our target customers at an earlier stage.
Do you have any prior experience with crowdfunding?
We did our previous generation product crowdfunding campaign in 2017.

What inspired you to create this project?
I always enjoyed watching movies on big screens, as I often sought courage and inspiration from movie characters. However, I found I had less and less time to hit a movie theater after gaining more responsibility as an employee, a husband, and a father. This was where the idea of Cinera started: to bring cinematic experience beyond movie theaters.
What recommendations do you have for other project creators?
If I were to launch my project again, I would have made a better community engagement plan as the crowdfunding community is the most active, tolerating, knowledgable, and willing to share customers any company would dream for. Learning resources for first-timers: participate in other projects, even for free!
What stage is your project at now?
We finished R&D development. Now we will move to the mass production stage, and target to ship by 2020.
What’s next?
We will plan to get involved in the content distribution business.
